Living Well with a Disability

What is it?

 

Living Well with a Disability is an 8-week program for people with disabilities who want to know how to live healthy lives with their disability.

 

The program helps people by sharing information and resources, providing peer support and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Participants get help in reaching personal goals.

 

 

Who?

 

People with disabilities (especially those with a mobility disability who use a scooter, wheelchair, walker, cane, crutches, or prosthesis), family members, personal assistants, and staff -- anyone with any disability is welcome.

 

 

Where?

At the BHCIL office.

It's optional you don't have to participate in order to take the class

 

It's only for people with a mobility disability who use a scooter, wheelchair, walker, cane, crutches, or prosthesis.

 

It's to find out if the training helps improve your health or quality of life.
